ICAC 2012

The 18th International Conference for Computing and Automation (ICAC) was held at Loughborough University on 7th and 8th September, 2012. There were about 70 papers in control, automation, computer  science and manufacture presented. Most of the attendants came from UK universities  whilst others were from the outside the UK such as Sweden, Japan and China.

Prof. Wen-Hua Chen  from the Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering, as the Conference Chair, organised this event with the support of Prof Jiyin Liu from the Loughborough University Business  School. All the papers presented at this conference will be accepted into the IEEE Xplore, USA, so are widely accessible for the global academic community  (e.g. through EI).

Three best student paper prizes in the areas of Computing, Automation and Manufacture were awarded and Loughborough's own Kathryn Stockwell was awarded the prize in the field of Modelling and Simulation for her paper 'Application of a Reliability Model Generator to a Pressure Tank System'.

During the afternoon coffee break members of LUCAS conducted flight demonstrations of both fixed and rotary wing vehicles, videos below.
