Dr Hyo-Sang Shin from Cranfield University gave a seminar to LUCAS researchers on Friday 17th of June titled Evolutionary Game-Based PSO.
The talk proposed a method of combining two optimisation methods: Game theory and particle swarm optimisation (PSO). The proposed algorithm used game theory to help with problem space exploration. The resultant algorithm has shown promise to converge to answer much quicker than a standard PSO.
Dr Hyo-Sang Shin holds a position of a Lecturer in Guidance, Navigation and Control in Cranfield University. He received his PhD on cooperative missile guidance from Cranfield University. His research interests include but are not limited to: cooperative guidance and control for multiple vehicles, coordinated heath monitoring and management, and information-driven sensing.
